About the Role

As a Laboratory Engineer, you will handle antibody quality control by performing tasks within the QC team according to established procedures. You will also identify and drive improvements to advance validation processes. Reporting to the QC Manager, you will collaborate with other departments, contributing to the enhancement of production processes and overall efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver and document results according to defined quality levels and timelines.
  • Documenting deviations when they occur and subsequent reporting to management.
  • Lead proof of concept, process development activities and improvements led by reaction to an issue or proactively.
  • Represent your function in projects.
  • Develop laboratory processes and methods and receive technology transfer from R&D.
  • Intermediate process knowledge.
  • Junior staff education and training.
  • Process and instrument responsibility.
  • Collaboration with cross functions to make sure that our products are delivered to customers in time. 

About you

We are looking for a motivated and curious candidate with expertise in Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), cell culture, and microscopy. A strong theoretical background in these areas is essential. We appreciate your positive attitude, values, and behaviour. Essential Requirements:

Educational Background:

  • Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a similar field.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or Immunocytochemistry (ICC), with expertise in at least one method being essential.
  • Previous experience in antibody validation is highly advantageous.
  • Solid knowledge of cell culture techniques.
  • Proficient in working with siRNAs and producing cell lysates.
  • Experience in microscopy, including both fluorescent and brightfield imaging.
  • Skills in experiment planning and data analysis using MS Office.
  • Documentation of results in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Knowledge of histology and tissue techniques is beneficial.

General Skills:

  • More than two years of laboratory experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in process development and optimization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written, with excellent communication skills.
