About the Role

We are now looking for a Laboratory Engineer to join our production team on a 7‑month temporary contract to cover a parental leave. In this role, you will be central to the production of antigens and a wide range of products - including antibodies, kits, and custom solutions - while ensuring exceptional quality and timely delivery to researchers worldwide. This position combines hands-on laboratory work with continuous process improvement and close collaboration across teams and departments. You will report directly to the Production Manager, contributing both to daily operations and long-term development.

Tasks and Mission

You will work according to established procedures and quality standards while actively identifying opportunities to refine and enhance our processes.

You will...

• Deliver high-quality production results on time, ensuring thorough documentation and accurate reporting of any deviations.

• Develop laboratory processes and methods, including receiving technology transfer from R&D.

• Drive innovation by designing new laboratory methods and optimizing essential processes and instruments.

• Represent production on cross-functional projects and collaborate with other departments.

What Makes You a Great Fit

For this position, the must-haves are:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cell / Molecular Biology, Biomedicine or similar), or a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant work experience.

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in recombinant protein expression in E.coli and purification.

• Ability to work both independently as well as in a team.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

The nice- to-haves are:

• Familiarity with ÄKTA systems and the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop KPIs

• Swedish language skills are considered a merit.
